Internship: Systems Engineering Equipment Qualification & Automation (m/f/d)

München
Full or part-time
Intern / Student

Your mission

Join our Systems Engineering team in Munich and bridge the gap between physical hardware qualification and modern engineering automation. Depending on your strengths and interests, you can focus on the hardware side, the automation side, or explore both:

  • Hardware Qualification & Testing: Support the end-to-end qualification of fluid components (valves, regulators, pumps). You will assist in drafting test procedures, setting up functional bench tests, evaluating test data, and investigating hardware findings alongside senior engineers.
  • Requirements & Data Automation: Build pragmatic scripts and lightweight tools (primarily Python) to automate traceability between engineering requirements, test data, and verification documentation.
  • Process Simplification: Spot repetitive, manual tasks across the verification workflow and implement clean solutions to streamline reporting and technical documentation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work directly at the intersection of Systems Engineering, Quality, and Testing, gaining a holistic understanding of how flight-critical hardware is validated.

Your profile

  • Enrolled student in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Pragmatic, curious mindset with a high degree of personal initiative and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of fluid mechanics, pressure systems, or mechanical design.
  • Practical programming or scripting skills (primarily Python); experience with Git is a plus.
  • AI Proficiency & Critical Thinking: Active curiosity in utilizing modern AI tools (LLMs, code generation, data synthesis) to multiply your efficiency, coupled with the critical judgment to rigorously question, verify, and validate AI-generated technical outputs.
  • Motivated to work with both physical space hardware and modern automation tools.
  • Fluency in English (German or additional languages are an asset).

About us

We are deltaVision GmbH – a young, ambitious high-tech company based in Munich, driving the future of in-space mobility and infrastructure.

Since our founding in 2022, we have been developing, manufacturing, and qualifying advanced fluid control systems for the aerospace industry and H₂ aviation. Our expertise spans cryogenic and high-pressure propulsion systems as well as next-generation orbital refueling technologies, including couplers and fully integrated refueling systems designed for the harsh environment of space.

With our deep knowledge of fluid control for space systems, we are shaping the space economy towards refuelable and reusable spacecraft. We enable longer mission lifetimes, greater operational flexibility, and entirely new architectures for sustainable space operations.

What sets us apart?
  • Innovative products enabling next-generation space infrastructure
  • Exceptional cost efficiency through optimized design and manufacturing
  • Rapid development and delivery cycles beyond traditional industry standards

We are rethinking spaceflight — enabling a future where spacecraft are not disposable, but reusable, refuelable, and built to operate sustainably in orbit.
